300th anniversary of Christianity in the Straits of Mackinac
During this special event people portrayed members of the community who were instrumental in the history of Ste. Anne's Church. They represented individuals such as early missionaries, those involved in the early development of the church and those who moved the church to the island.
Speaker (above): Phil Porter, Director of Mackinac State Historic Parks as Patrick Sinclair, the British commander who moved Fort Michilimackinac and the Ste. Anne's community to Mackinac Island.

Joey Porter, Keith Knecht and a female speaker represent the Indian metis and tribal community in early Mackinac history.

Father Jim Williams, Katie Cedarholm (Mdme. LaFramboise) and Dan Seeley (Rev. Thomas Ferry) represent members of the community involved in the conflict between Ste. Anne's and Mission Church. |
